Do you know that in winter and spring from the southwest side  winds come strongly indicated to Auckland. Do you know that wind is made out of gas that flows through the air? GRAVITY !

Do you know who sir Isaac Newton? Well sir Isaac Newton was the second person to discover gravity when a apple fell on his head. Do you know that gravity is a force that pushes objects down to the floor? When sir Isaac Newton was thinking about nature a big apple came and fell on his head and sir Isaac newton thought why it did'int float.

Do you know why there are waves? well the moon and the sun has gravity but not that much but because it is so close it it carry's the water which makes waves.

During the morning kea was learning about gravity. We were learning to see which object will fall first we go ten objects. we got like bottles, crayons and pencils. After that we wrote our results.

SCIENCE FAIR!!!!

Have you ever did a science fair? well Kea has! During term 2 the Kea team was working hard to make a science project. It took us weeks to make a science project.

First, Kea's teachers split us into groups. We had different types of stuff to experiment like for a example
Which tornado is more visible. My group was doing a science project on Tornado's. We were learning which tornado was more visible. I felt like a brainy scientist. We  experimented tornado's with diffrent types of ingredients to see if it was visible when we did a tornado. We used :Salt, Baking soda and washing powder.

Then, we made a board for people to see what type of work we did like this example.

At last, We had our science fair i felt proud and happy of my work. A lot of people came and tried our project. At the end we all cleaned up our mess It was a HUMONGOUS MESS!! After we cleaned we said goodbye to our teachers and went home

Have you been in a earthquake?

have you been in a earthquake? well earthquakes happen when two rocky  get together and forms a lot of pressure which makes earthquakes. the biggest earthquake was in Chile in 1960 they had the most largest earthquake and suddenly they had a huge tsunami. A tsunami forms by when the water grounds has a crack then the water builds to much pressure that it forms a tsunami like a earthquake. this week we did a experiment about how earthquakes form you can look at the video to see how my experiment went like maybe you can do one to.

Kea's tsunami experiment

on Monday the 14th of June 2021 we had a tsunami experiment.
First, we had to go to whaea Sam's workshop [teacher] . Then, we went in our groups. My group was Fane, Hena, Jeff, Sam and Peyton [friends].
Second, we got our equipment. The equipment we had was grey rocky rocks, big beautiful shells, green healthy leaves and tiny bright yellow sand. After that we got a long skinny grey tray to put our equipment in. When we put our equipment in we put in nice clear water.
Third, we made a bio shield. [A bio shield is something that looks after your village] we used shells and rocks to make the bio shield. Then we used the sand to make the beach. Then we put some nice creations on the beach. Like leaves ,houses  and sticks. It was so stable that it was like metal!!
Last and finally we did a test on our beach. We used brown cardboard to push the water. It made humongous waves. The results were half destroyed and half not wrecked.
